William M. Connor V, commonly known as Bill Connor, is a devoted Christian family man, married to his wife, Susan, for over 33 years. Together, they have three children: Peyton, Brenna, and Will. Will, a Citadel grad, has followed his father’s steps becoming an Army officer, Brenna, a Clemson grad, recently graduated law school, and Peyton, a Newberry grad, is an author who lives in Ireland with her husband and Bill’s two grandsons. Bill enjoys travelling with his wife, particularly to see his grandsons in Ireland!

After his Company Commands, Bill was chosen as Aide de Camp to the Commanding General of Ft. Benning, GA and taught at the Infantry Officers Career Course.
- Colonel, USA, Retired: Commanded U.S. advisory efforts in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, was senior instructor for Command and General Staff Officer School in South Carolina, and was the senior Northern Commander Army officer representative in South Carolina. His combat service earned him the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and the Bronze Star Medal, among other decorations.
